महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-4, verse-107

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
एवं ब्रुवन्नेव तदा धृतराष्ट्रोऽम्बिकासुतः ।
हतप्रवीरं विध्वस्तं किंचिच्छेषं स्वकं बलम् ।
श्रुत्वा व्यामोहमगमच्छोकव्याकुलितेन्द्रियः ॥१०७॥
107. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
evaṁ bruvanneva tadā dhṛtarāṣṭro'mbikāsutaḥ ,
hatapravīraṁ vidhvastaṁ kiṁciccheṣaṁ svakaṁ balam ,
śrutvā vyāmohamagamacchokavyākulitendriyaḥ.
107. vaiśaṃpāyanaḥ uvāca evam bruvan eva tadā
dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ ambikāsutaḥ hatapravīram
vidhvastaṃ kiṃcit śeṣam svakam balam
śrutvā vyāmoham agamat śokavyākulitendriyaḥ
107. vaiśaṃpāyanaḥ uvāca ambikāsutaḥ dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ
evam bruvan eva tadā svakam hatapravīram
vidhvastaṃ kiṃcit śeṣam balam śrutvā
śokavyākulitendriyaḥ [san] vyāmoham agamat
107. Vaiśampāyana said: Just as Dhṛtarāṣṭra, the son of Ambikā, was speaking thus, upon hearing that his own army was shattered, its chief warriors slain, and only a small part of it remained, he fell into a state of utter confusion, his senses agitated by grief.
