हतः शांतनवो राजन्दुराधर्षः प्रतापवान् ।
हत्वा पाण्डवयोधानामर्बुदं दशभिर्दिनैः ॥४॥

4. Sañjaya said: "O King, the son of Śāntanu (Bhīṣma), that invincible and glorious warrior, has been slain, but only after he had killed ten crores (an arbuda) of Pāṇḍava warriors within ten days."
