महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-112, verse-54

कच्छपो दश वर्षाणि त्रीणि वर्षाणि शल्यकः ।
व्यालो भूत्वा तु षण्मासांस्ततो जायति मानुषः ॥५४॥
54. kacchapo daśa varṣāṇi trīṇi varṣāṇi śalyakaḥ ,
vyālo bhūtvā tu ṣaṇmāsāṁstato jāyati mānuṣaḥ.
