युधिष्ठिर उवाच ।
पितामह महाबाहो सर्वशास्त्रविशारद ।
श्रोतुमिच्छामि मर्त्यानां संसारविधिमुत्तमम् ॥१॥
1. yudhiṣṭhira uvāca ,
pitāmaha mahābāho sarvaśāstraviśārada ,
śrotumicchāmi martyānāṁ saṁsāravidhimuttamam.

1. Yudhishthira said: "O Grandfather, O mighty-armed one, O expert in all scriptures! I wish to hear about the supreme process concerning the worldly existence (saṃsāra) of mortals."
