महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-112, verse-108

असंवासाः प्रजायन्ते म्लेच्छाश्चापि न संशयः ।
नराः पापसमाचारा लोभमोहसमन्विताः ॥१०८॥
108. asaṁvāsāḥ prajāyante mlecchāścāpi na saṁśayaḥ ,
narāḥ pāpasamācārā lobhamohasamanvitāḥ.

108. Those people whose conduct is sinful, and who are filled with greed (lobha) and delusion (moha), are born as outcasts, without proper association, and indeed as foreigners or barbarians; there is no doubt about this.
