महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-281, verse-53

वरातिसर्गः शतपुत्रता मम त्वयैव दत्तो ह्रियते च मे पतिः ।
वरं वृणे जीवतु सत्यवानयं तवैव सत्यं वचनं भविष्यति ॥५३॥
53. varātisargaḥ śataputratā mama; tvayaiva datto hriyate ca me patiḥ ,
varaṁ vṛṇe jīvatu satyavānayaṁ; tavaiva satyaṁ vacanaṁ bhaviṣyati.
53. vara atisargaḥ śataputratā mama
tvayā eva dattaḥ hriyate ca me patiḥ
varam vṛṇe jīvatu satyavān ayam
tava eva satyam vacanam bhaviṣyati
53. The granting of the boon for me to have a hundred sons was given by you yourself, yet my husband is being taken away. I choose this boon: let Satyavan live, and then your word will truly become true.
