महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-281, verse-14

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
इत्युक्त्वा पितृराजस्तां भगवान्स्वं चिकीर्षितम् ।
यथावत्सर्वमाख्यातुं तत्प्रियार्थं प्रचक्रमे ॥१४॥
14. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca ,
ityuktvā pitṛrājastāṁ bhagavānsvaṁ cikīrṣitam ,
yathāvatsarvamākhyātuṁ tatpriyārthaṁ pracakrame.
14. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca iti uktvā pitṛrājaḥ tām bhagavān svam
cikīrṣitam yathāvat sarvam ākhyātum tatpriyārtham pracakrame
14. Mārkaṇḍeya said: Having thus spoken to her, the venerable king of the ancestors (Yama) began to fully explain his intention for her sake.
