महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-137, verse-91

कुमित्रे संगतं नास्ति नित्यमस्थिरसौहृदे ।
अवमानः कुसंबन्धे भवत्यर्थविपर्यये ॥९१॥
91. kumitre saṁgataṁ nāsti nityamasthirasauhṛde ,
avamānaḥ kusaṁbandhe bhavatyarthaviparyaye.

avamānaḥ kusaṃbandhe bhavati arthaviparyaye
91. There is no companionship with a bad friend, nor with one whose friendship is always unstable. Disrespect occurs in a bad relationship when there is a reversal of fortune.
