महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-137, verse-14

क्षत्रियेषु न विश्वासः कार्यः सर्वोपघातिषु ।
अपकृत्यापि सततं सान्त्वयन्ति निरर्थकम् ॥१४॥
