इच्छयैव कृतं पापं सद्य एवोपसर्पति ।
कृतप्रतिक्रियं तेषां न नश्यति शुभाशुभम् ॥१८॥

18. A sin (pāpam) committed purely by intention immediately afflicts (the perpetrator). For those for whom atonement (pratikriyā) has been performed, their accumulated good and bad (karma) is not destroyed.
