महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-88, verse-55

पूर्वैराचरितं यत्तत्कुराजभिररिंदम ।
अक्षद्यूतं मृगवधः कच्चिदेषां सुखावहम् ॥५५॥
55. pūrvairācaritaṁ yattatkurājabhirariṁdama ,
akṣadyūtaṁ mṛgavadhaḥ kaccideṣāṁ sukhāvaham.
55. pūrvaiḥ ācaritam yat tat ku-rājabhiḥ arim-dama
akṣa-dyūtam mṛga-vadhaḥ kaccit eṣām sukha-āvaham
55. O subduer of enemies (Kṛṣṇa), that which was practiced by previous bad kings—the dice game and hunting—is it truly conducive to the happiness of these (Pāṇḍavas)?
