महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-88, verse-47

न नूनं कर्मभिः पुण्यैरश्नुते पुरुषः सुखम् ।
द्रौपदी चेत्तथावृत्ता नाश्नुते सुखमव्ययम् ॥४७॥
47. na nūnaṁ karmabhiḥ puṇyairaśnute puruṣaḥ sukham ,
draupadī cettathāvṛttā nāśnute sukhamavyayam.
47. na nūnam karmabhiḥ puṇyaiḥ aśnute puruṣaḥ sukham
draupadī cet tathāvṛttā na aśnute sukham avyayam
47. Surely, a person (puruṣa) does not attain happiness (sukha) through meritorious actions (karma), if Draupadī, despite her virtuous conduct, does not experience imperishable happiness.
