महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-173, verse-93

विषमस्थः शरीरेषु समश्च प्राणिनामिह ।
स वायुर्विषमस्थेषु प्राणापानशरीरिषु ॥९३॥
93. viṣamasthaḥ śarīreṣu samaśca prāṇināmiha ,
sa vāyurviṣamastheṣu prāṇāpānaśarīriṣu.

93. Here, the vital air (vāyu) is situated unevenly within individual bodies, yet is equally present among all living beings (prāṇin). That same Vāyu resides in those bodies, composed of prāṇa and apāna, which are themselves unevenly constituted.
