महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-173, verse-5

ज्वलन्तं शूलमुद्यम्य यां दिशं प्रतिपद्यते ।
तस्यां दिशि विशीर्यन्ते शत्रवो मे महामुने ॥५॥
5. jvalantaṁ śūlamudyamya yāṁ diśaṁ pratipadyate ,
tasyāṁ diśi viśīryante śatravo me mahāmune.
5. jvalantam śūlam udyamya yām diśam pratipadyate
tasyām diśi viśīryante śatravaḥ me mahāmune
5. mahāmune,
jvalantam śūlam udyamya yām diśam pratipadyate,
tasyām diśi me śatravaḥ viśīryante
5. O great sage, holding up a blazing spear, whichever direction he approaches, in that very direction my enemies are scattered.
