महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-173, verse-11

महादेवं महात्मानमीशानं जटिलं शिवम् ।
त्र्यक्षं महाभुजं रुद्रं शिखिनं चीरवाससम् ।
दातारं चैव भक्तानां प्रसादविहितान्वरान् ॥११॥
11. mahādevaṁ mahātmānamīśānaṁ jaṭilaṁ śivam ,
tryakṣaṁ mahābhujaṁ rudraṁ śikhinaṁ cīravāsasam ,
dātāraṁ caiva bhaktānāṁ prasādavihitānvarān.

11. Referring to Mahadeva, the magnanimous (mahātman), the Lord (īśāna), the matted-haired, the auspicious one (Śiva), the three-eyed, the mighty-armed, Rudra, the one with a topknot, clothed in bark garments; and indeed, he is the giver of boons bestowed by his grace to his devotees.
