तत्रैव तेनास्य बभूव युद्धं महाबलेनातिबलस्य विष्णोः ।
शेते स कृष्णेन हतः परासुर्वातेनेव मथितः कर्णिकारः ॥७८॥

78. tatraiva tenāsya babhūva yuddhaṁ; mahābalenātibalasya viṣṇoḥ ,

78. Right there, a battle took place with him (Kṛṣṇa) against this (demon), and with the mighty one (demon) against the exceedingly powerful Viṣṇu. Struck by Kṛṣṇa, he (the demon) lay lifeless, like a Karnikara tree shattered by the wind.
