महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-306, verse-97

जन्ममृत्यू च राजेन्द्र प्राकृतं तदचिन्तयत् ।
ब्रह्माव्यक्तस्य कर्मेदमिति नित्यं नराधिप ॥९७॥
97. janmamṛtyū ca rājendra prākṛtaṁ tadacintayat ,
brahmāvyaktasya karmedamiti nityaṁ narādhipa.
97. janmamṛtyū ca rājendra prākṛtam tat acintayat
brahmāvyaktasya karma idam iti nityam narādhipa
97. ca rājendra tat janmamṛtyū prākṛtam acintayat
narādhipa nityam iti idam brahmāvyaktasya karma
97. And, O best of kings, he contemplated that birth and death are natural (phenomena). He always thought, O lord of men, that this (entire process) is the action (karma) of the unmanifest (Brahman).
