महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-306, verse-55

तेनैतन्नाभिजानन्ति पञ्चविंशकमच्युतम् ।
जन्ममृत्युभयाद्योगाः सांख्याश्च परमैषिणः ॥५५॥
55. tenaitannābhijānanti pañcaviṁśakamacyutam ,
janmamṛtyubhayādyogāḥ sāṁkhyāśca paramaiṣiṇaḥ.
55. tena etat na abhijānanti pañcaviṃśakam acyutam
janmamṛtyubhayāt yogāḥ sāṅkhyāḥ ca paramaiṣiṇaḥ
55. tena janmamṛtyubhayāt parama-aiṣiṇaḥ yogāḥ ca
sāṅkhyāḥ etat acyutam pañcaviṃśakam na abhijānanti
55. Therefore, due to the fear of the cycle of birth and death (saṃsāra), these practitioners of yoga (yoga) and Sāṅkhya, who are striving for the supreme goal, do not truly understand this immutable twenty-fifth (principle, the individual self).
