योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-128, verse-103

वेदागमपुराणेषु स्मृतिष्वपि महामुने ।
गुरुवाक्यं विधिः प्रोक्तो निषेधस्तद्विपर्ययः ॥ १०३ ॥

103. mahāmune,
veda-āgama-purāṇeṣu smṛtiṣu api guru-vākyam vidhiḥ proktaḥ (asti),
niṣedhaḥ tat-viparyayaḥ (ca asti).
103. O great sage, it is declared in the Vedas, Āgamas, Purāṇas, and also in the Smṛtis, that the word of a spiritual teacher (guru) is a positive injunction (vidhi), and its opposite is a prohibition (niṣedha).
