योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-13, verse-81

एतावच्चेतसो जन्म बीजं संसारभूतये ।
संकल्पोन्मुखतां यातः संविदो वा किलात्मनः ॥ ८१ ॥
etāvaccetaso janma bījaṃ saṃsārabhūtaye ,
saṃkalponmukhatāṃ yātaḥ saṃvido vā kilātmanaḥ 81
81. etāvat cetasaḥ janma bījam saṃsārabhūtaye

81. etāvat cetasaḥ janma saṃsārabhūtaye bījam vā

81. This much is the birth of the mind (citta), which is the seed for the manifestation of saṃsāra (cycle of rebirth). It is, in fact, the self (ātman) whose cognition (saṃvid) has attained an inclination towards conceptualization.
