One who is completely free from attachment and aversion, who regards a lump of clay, a stone, and gold as equal, and who has relinquished all desires (vāsanā) connected with the cycle of rebirth (saṃsāra), such a practitioner of yoga (yogī) is declared to be steadfast (yukta).
