महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-44, verse-86

तथा कीटपतंगानां सदृशास्या गणेश्वराः ।
नानाव्यालमुखाश्चान्ये बहुबाहुशिरोधराः ॥८६॥
86. tathā kīṭapataṁgānāṁ sadṛśāsyā gaṇeśvarāḥ ,
nānāvyālamukhāścānye bahubāhuśirodharāḥ.

86. Similarly, there were lords of the Gaṇas whose faces resembled those of insects and birds. And others had faces of various serpents, and possessed many arms and heads.
