Vasava (Indra), the destroyer of enemy heroes (paravīrahā), indeed gave both Utkrosha and Pankaja, who carried the thunderbolt-staff, to the son of Agni (analaputra) (skanda). For those two attendants (anucara) had indeed killed many of Mahendra's (indra's) enemies in battle.
