If Mercury is present (in the fifth house from Svāṃśa), the person becomes a supreme ascetic (paramahaṃsa) or an ascetic (daṇḍī) carrying a staff. Similarly, if Rahu is there, the native works with iron or machinery, and if the Sun is present, one becomes a sword-bearer.
