मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-21, verse-97

एतदप्यधिकं वत्स तेन त्वं पुरुषोत्तमः ।
तद्धन्योऽस्म्य बाल त्वमहमेव गुणाधिकम् ॥९७॥
97. etadapyadhikaṃ vatsa tena tvaṃ puruṣottamaḥ .
taddhanyo'smya bāla tvamahameva guṇādhikam.
97. etat api adhikam vatsa tena tvam puruṣa-uttamaḥ
tat dhanyaḥ asmi bāla tvam aham eva guṇa-adhikam
97. This (deed) is also greater, child. Therefore, you are the best among men (puruṣottama). For that, I am blessed, child; indeed, you are superior in virtues to me.
