मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-21, verse-24

सोऽपि कामशराघातमवाप्य नृपतेः सुतः ।
तां समाश्वासयामास न भेतव्यमिति ब्रुवन् ॥२४॥
24. so'pi kāmaśarāghātamavāpya nṛpateḥ sutaḥ .
tāṃ samāśvāsayāmāsa na bhetavyamiti bruvan.
24. saḥ api kāmaśarāghātam avāpya nṛpateḥ sutaḥ
tām samāśvāsayām āsa na bhetavyam iti bruvan
24. He also, the king's son, having been struck by the onslaught of Kāma's (the god of love) arrows, consoled her, saying, 'There is nothing to be afraid of.'
