मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-21, verse-70

कथं भार्यामृते धर्ममर्थं वा पुरुषः प्रभो ।
प्राप्नोति काममथवा तस्यां त्रितयमाहितम् ॥७०॥
70. kathaṃ bhāryāmṛte dharmamarthaṃ vā puruṣaḥ prabho .
prāpnoti kāmamathavā tasyāṃ tritayamāhitam.
70. katham bhāryām ṛte dharmam artham vā puruṣaḥ prabho
| prāpnoti kāmam athavā tasyām tritayam āhitam
70. O lord, how can a man achieve righteousness (dharma), wealth, or sensual pleasure without a wife? Indeed, this triad is established within her.
