मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-21, verse-28

स्त्र्युवाच ।
विश्वावसुरिति ख्यातो दिवि गन्धर्वराट् प्रभो ।
तस्येयमात्मजा सुभ्रूर्नाम्नरा ख्याता मदालसा ॥२८॥

viśvāvasuriti khyāto divi gandharvarāṭ prabho .
tasyeyamātmajā subhrūrnāmnarā khyātā madālasā.
28. strī uvāca viśvāvasuḥ iti khyātaḥ divi gandharvarāṭ
prabho tasya iyam ātmajā subhrūḥ nāmnarā khyātā madālasā
28. The woman said: "O Lord, the King of Gandharvas known as Viśvāvasu is famous in heaven. This beautiful-browed daughter of his is known by the name Madālasā."
