मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-21, verse-52

त्वाञ्चैवानुप्रविष्टोऽहमिमं प्रासादमुत्तमम् ।
इत्येतत् कथितं सत्यं न देवोऽहं न दानवः ॥५२॥
52. tvāñcaivānupraviṣṭo'hamimaṃ prāsādamuttamam .
ityetat kathitaṃ satyaṃ na devo'haṃ na dānavaḥ.
52. tvām ca eva anupraviṣṭaḥ aham imam prāsādam uttamam
| iti etat kathitam satyam na devaḥ aham na dānavaḥ
52. And I followed you into this magnificent palace. This truth has been told: I am neither a god nor a demon.
