कामस्तु तस्य नैवास्ति प्रत्यक्षेणोपलक्ष्यते ।
दम्पत्योः सहधर्मेण त्रयीधर्ममवाप्नुयात् ॥७४॥

But his personal desire (kāma) is not directly evident. Rather, it is through the couple's joint observance of their natural law (dharma) that one should attain the sacred duties of the three Vedas (dharma).
