मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-21, verse-94

तद्वीर्यादधिकं यस्तु पुनरन्यत् स्वशक्तितः ।
निष्पादयति तं प्राज्ञाः प्रवदन्ति नरोत्तमम् ॥९४॥
94. tadvīryādadhikaṃ yastu punaranyat svaśaktitaḥ .
niṣpādayati taṃ prājñāḥ pravadanti narottamam.
94. tat-vīryāt adhikam yaḥ tu punar anyat sva-śaktitaḥ
niṣpādayati tam prājñāḥ pravadanti nara-uttamam
94. But whoever, by his own power (śakti), accomplishes something else that surpasses that valor (of his father), him the wise declare to be the best among men.
