कुवलयाश्व उवाच ।
यन्मां पृच्छसि धर्मज्ञे कस्त्वं किं वा समागतः ।
तच्छृणुष्वामलप्रज्ञे कथयाम्यादितस्तव ॥४६॥

yanmāṃ pṛcchasi dharmajñe kastvaṃ kiṃ vā samāgataḥ .
tacchṛṇuṣvāmalaprajñe kathayāmyāditastava.

Kuvalayāśva said: "O knower of righteousness (dharma), since you ask me, 'Who are you and why have you come?', listen, O pure-minded one, I will tell you from the beginning."
