मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-21, verse-49

मया स विद्धो बाणेन चन्द्रार्धाकारवर्च्चसा ।
अपक्रान्तोऽतिवेगेन तमस्म्यनुगतो हयी ॥४९॥
49. mayā sa viddho bāṇena candrārdhākāravarccasā .
apakrānto'tivegena tamasmyanugato hayī.
49. mayā saḥ viddhaḥ bāṇena candrārdhākāravarccasā
apakrāntaḥ ativegena tam asmi anugataḥ hayī
49. I pierced him with an arrow shining like a half-moon. He fled with great speed, and I, being a horseman, pursued him.
