मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-21, verse-57

चन्द्रमेवाधिका कान्तिः समुपैति रविं प्रभा ।
भूतिर्धन्यं धृतिर्धोरं क्षान्तिरभ्येति चोत्तमम् ॥५७॥
57. candramevādhikā kāntiḥ samupaiti raviṃ prabhā .
bhūtirdhanyaṃ dhṛtirdhoraṃ kṣāntirabhyeti cottamam.
57. candram eva adhikā kāntiḥ sam upaiti ravim prabhā bhūtiḥ
dhanyam dhṛtiḥ dhīram kṣāntiḥ abhi eti ca uttamam
57. Superior splendor approaches the moon exclusively; radiance approaches the sun. Prosperity seeks the fortunate person, steadfastness seeks the resolute person, and patience approaches the excellent person.
