मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-21, verse-10

तस्यानन्तरमेवाशु सोऽप्यश्वी नृपतेः सुतः ।
निपपात महागर्ते तिमिरौघसमावृते ॥१०॥
10. tasyānantaramevāśu so'pyaśvī nṛpateḥ sutaḥ .
nipapāta mahāgarte timiraughasamāvṛte.

sutaḥ nipapāta mahāgarte timiraughasamāvṛte
10. Just after that, the king's son, who was also a horseman, quickly fell into a vast pit enveloped by a thick mass of darkness.
