मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-21, verse-32

अतीते च दिने बालामात्मव्यापदनोद्यताम् ।
सुरभिः प्राह नायं त्वं प्राप्स्यते दानवाधमः ॥३२॥
32. atīte ca dine bālāmātmavyāpadanodyatām .
surabhiḥ prāha nāyaṃ tvaṃ prāpsyate dānavādhamaḥ.
32. atīte ca dine bālām ātmavyāpadanodyatām surabhiḥ
prāha na ayam tvam prāpsyate dānavādhamaḥ
32. And on a past day, Surabhi told the girl, who was intent on self-destruction (ātman-vyāpadana), 'This vilest of demons will not obtain you.'
