मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-10, verse-74

ब्राह्मणा ब्रह्मयोनिस्था ये स्वकर्मण्यवस्थिताः ।
ते सम्यगुपजीवेयुः षट कर्माणि यथाक्रमम ॥७४॥
74. brāhmaṇā brahmayonisthā ye svakarmaṇyavasthitāḥ ,
te samyagupajīveyuḥ ṣaṭ karmāṇi yathākramam.

74. Brahmins, who are established in the essence of the Vedas (brahman) and dedicated to their own appropriate actions (karma), should properly sustain themselves through the six duties in their prescribed order.
