महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-5, verse-38

तस्माद्भीष्मवधे चैव द्रोणस्य च महात्मनः ।
नात्र शेषं प्रपश्यामि सूतपुत्रे हते युधि ॥३८॥
38. tasmādbhīṣmavadhe caiva droṇasya ca mahātmanaḥ ,
nātra śeṣaṁ prapaśyāmi sūtaputre hate yudhi.
38. tasmāt bhīṣmavadhe ca eva droṇasya ca mahātmanaḥ
na atra śeṣam prapaśyāmi sūtaputre hate yudhi

38. Therefore, with the slaying of Bhīṣma and also of the great-souled Droṇa, and with the charioteer's son (Karṇa) killed in battle, I see no remainder (hope) here.
