Vaiśampāyana said: "Upon hearing of Karna's death – which was astonishing, almost unbelievable, terrifying, like a great delusion falling upon all beings, or indeed, like the overturning of Mount Meru itself – (Dhṛtarāṣṭra reacted in a certain way)."
