36. dhigjīvitamidaṁ me'dya suhṛddhīnasya saṁjaya ,

kṛpaṇaṁ vartayiṣyāmi śocyaḥ sarvasya mandadhīḥ.

36.
O Sañjaya, shame on this life of mine today, deprived of my dear friend! And today, O Sañjaya, I have reached this despicable state. I shall live miserably, a dull-witted man pitiable to all.
