महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-5, verse-82

तस्य नाहं वधं मन्ये देवैरपि सवासवैः ।
प्रतीपमुपधावद्भिः किं पुनस्तात पाण्डवैः ॥८२॥
82. tasya nāhaṁ vadhaṁ manye devairapi savāsavaiḥ ,
pratīpamupadhāvadbhiḥ kiṁ punastāta pāṇḍavaiḥ.
82. tasya na aham vadham manye devaiḥ api savāsavaiḥ
pratīpam upadhāvaddbhiḥ kim punaḥ tāta pāṇḍavaiḥ
82. tāta aham tasya vadham devaiḥ api savāsavaiḥ
pratīpam upadhāvaddbhiḥ na manye kim punaḥ pāṇḍavaiḥ
82. I (Dhṛtarāṣṭra) do not believe that he (Karṇa) can be killed even by the gods, accompanied by Indra, if they were to rush hostilely against him. How much less likely is it then, O dear one (Sañjaya), that he could be killed by the Pāṇḍavas?
