महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-85, verse-74

नैतद्बलमसंवार्य शक्यो हन्तुं जयद्रथः ।
एते हि सैन्धवस्यार्थे सर्वे संत्यक्तजीविताः ॥७४॥
74. naitadbalamasaṁvārya śakyo hantuṁ jayadrathaḥ ,
ete hi saindhavasyārthe sarve saṁtyaktajīvitāḥ.
74. na etat balam asaṃvāryam śakyaḥ hantum jayadrathaḥ
| ete hi saindhavasya arthe sarve saṃtyaktajīvitāḥ

74. Jayadratha cannot be killed, for this army is irresistible. Indeed, all of these warriors have abandoned their lives for the sake of the Saindhava (jayadratha).
