भारद्वाजं च ते सर्वे न शेकुः प्रतिवीक्षितुम् ।
मध्यंदिनमनुप्राप्तं सहस्रांशुमिव प्रभो ॥२४॥

madhyaṁdinamanuprāptaṁ sahasrāṁśumiva prabho.

24. And, O lord (prabho), all of them were unable to look directly at Drona (Bhāradvāja), just as one cannot gaze upon the midday sun (sahasrāṃśu) when it has reached its zenith.
