महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-150, verse-35

ततोऽश्मवृष्टिरत्युग्रा महत्यासीत्समन्ततः ।
अर्धरात्रेऽधिकबलैर्विमुक्ता रक्षसां बलैः ॥३५॥
35. tato'śmavṛṣṭiratyugrā mahatyāsītsamantataḥ ,
ardharātre'dhikabalairvimuktā rakṣasāṁ balaiḥ.

35. Then, a very fierce and massive rain of stones fell from all directions. It was unleashed at midnight by the exceedingly powerful forces of the Rākṣasas.
