महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-24, verse-9

गर्हितं निन्दितं चैव परिविष्टं समन्युना ।
दैवं वाप्यथ वा पैत्र्यं तं भागं रक्षसां विदुः ॥९॥
9. garhitaṁ ninditaṁ caiva pariviṣṭaṁ samanyunā ,
daivaṁ vāpyatha vā paitryaṁ taṁ bhāgaṁ rakṣasāṁ viduḥ.
9. garhitam ninditam ca eva pariviṣṭam samanyunā daivam
vā api atha vā paitryam tam bhagam rakṣasām viduḥ

9. Whatever food is served, if it is censured, criticized, or offered by an angry person, whether it is for the deities or for the ancestors, that portion is considered to belong to the Rākṣasas (demons).
