महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-24, verse-46

अन्नेनान्नं च यो लिप्सेत्कर्मार्थं चैव भारत ।
आमन्त्रयति राजेन्द्र तस्याधर्मोऽनृतं स्मृतम् ॥४६॥
46. annenānnaṁ ca yo lipsetkarmārthaṁ caiva bhārata ,
āmantrayati rājendra tasyādharmo'nṛtaṁ smṛtam.
46. annena annam ca yaḥ lipset karma-artham ca eva bhārata
āmantrayati rāja-indra tasya adharmaḥ anṛtam smṛtam
46. bhārata rāja-indra yaḥ annena annam ca karma-artham ca
eva lipset āmantrayati tasya adharmaḥ anṛtam smṛtam
46. O Bhārata, O King of kings, he who desires food by means of food, and invites (people) for the sake of an act (karma), his transgression (adharma) is considered a falsehood (anṛta).
