महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-24, verse-51

तद्भक्तास्तद्गृहा राजंस्तद्धनास्तदपाश्रयाः ।
अर्थिनश्च भवन्त्यर्थे तेषु दत्तं महाफलम् ॥५१॥
51. tadbhaktāstadgṛhā rājaṁstaddhanāstadapāśrayāḥ ,
arthinaśca bhavantyarthe teṣu dattaṁ mahāphalam.
51. tatbhaktāḥ tatgṛhāḥ rājan tatdhanāḥ tatapāśrayāḥ |
arthinaḥ ca bhavanti arthe teṣu dattaṃ mahāphalam
51. O King, among those who are devoted to the (needy) ones (mentioned previously), whose homes, wealth, and support are found with them, and who also become supplicants for material needs, that which is given yields great results.
