महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-24, verse-49

भीष्म उवाच ।
येषां दाराः प्रतीक्षन्ते सुवृष्टिमिव कर्षकाः ।
उच्छेषपरिशेषं हि तान्भोजय युधिष्ठिर ॥४९॥
49. bhīṣma uvāca ,
yeṣāṁ dārāḥ pratīkṣante suvṛṣṭimiva karṣakāḥ ,
uccheṣapariśeṣaṁ hi tānbhojaya yudhiṣṭhira.

karṣakāḥ | ucchoṣapariśeṣaṃ hi tān bhojaya yudhiṣṭhira
49. Bhishma said: "O Yudhishthira, indeed, feed those men with the leftovers whose wives wait (for them) like farmers (wait) for good rain."
