महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-24, verse-5

अवघुष्टं च यद्भुक्तमव्रतेन च भारत ।
परामृष्टं शुना चैव तं भागं रक्षसां विदुः ॥५॥
5. avaghuṣṭaṁ ca yadbhuktamavratena ca bhārata ,
parāmṛṣṭaṁ śunā caiva taṁ bhāgaṁ rakṣasāṁ viduḥ.
5. avaghuṣṭam ca yat bhuktam avratena ca bhārata
parāmṛṣṭam śunā ca eva tam bhāgam rakṣasām viduḥ
5. bhārata yat avaghuṣṭam ca avratena ca bhuktam
śunā ca eva parāmṛṣṭam tam bhāgam rakṣasām viduḥ
5. O Bhārata, they consider that portion of food to belong to the rākṣasas which has been loudly proclaimed, eaten by one who does not observe vows, or indeed touched by a dog.
