महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-24, verse-71

चातुराश्रम्यबाह्याश्च श्रुतिबाह्याश्च ये नराः ।
विकर्मभिश्च जीवन्ति ते वै निरयगामिनः ॥७१॥
71. cāturāśramyabāhyāśca śrutibāhyāśca ye narāḥ ,
vikarmabhiśca jīvanti te vai nirayagāminaḥ.

vikarmabhiḥ ca jīvanti te vai nirayagāminaḥ
71. And those individuals who are outside the four stages of life (āśramas), who disregard the Vedic tradition (śruti), and who subsist by performing prohibited actions (vikarma)—they are indeed destined for hell.
